Goldilocks And The Three Bears Short Story, Short Stories For Kids

1. Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Once upon a time, in a deep, green forest, there stood a cozy little cottage. Inside lived three bears—a big Papa Bear, a kind Mama Bear, and a small, playful Baby Bear.

One morning, Mama Bear made a delicious pot of hot porridge. "It's too hot to eat right now," she said. "Let's go for a walk while it cools down!" So, the three bears went for a stroll in the woods.

Not far away, a curious little girl named Goldilocks was skipping through the forest, picking wildflowers. She had shiny golden curls and loved adventure! Suddenly, she spotted the bears’ cozy cottage. "Oh! What a cute little house!" she said, knocking on the door. But no one answered.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Goldilocks pushed the door gently, and—creak—it opened! She peeked inside and smelled something yummy. "Mmm, porridge!" Her tummy rumbled.

She saw three bowls of porridge on the table. She tried the first one. "Ouch! Too hot!" she cried. She tried the second one. "Ew! Too cold!" Then, she tasted the third one. "Mmm, just right!" She ate it all up!

Next, she saw three chairs. She sat in the big one. "Too hard!" She tried the middle one. "Too soft!" Then, she sat in the smallest chair. "Ahh, just right!" But—CRACK!—it broke into pieces!

Feeling sleepy, she went upstairs and found three beds. The first was too hard, the second too soft, but the third was just right. She snuggled in and fell fast asleep.

Soon, the three bears returned. "Someone's been eating my porridge!" growled Papa Bear.

"Someone's been sitting in my chair!" said Mama Bear.

"Someone sat in my chair, and it's broken!" cried Baby Bear.

They went upstairs. "Someone's been sleeping in my bed," said Papa Bear.

"Someone's been sleeping in my bed too!" said Mama Bear.

"Someone's in my bed right now!" shouted Baby Bear.

Goldilocks woke up and saw three bears staring at her. "Ahh!" she screamed, jumping out of bed and running down the stairs. She dashed out the door and into the forest, never forgetting her lesson—always ask before entering someone’s home!

The bears laughed and cleaned up their cottage, and from then on, they always locked their door before going on a walk!

The End.

2. Goldilocks and the Secret of the Enchanted Cottage

One bright morning, a curious girl named Goldilocks wandered through the forest, chasing a beautiful blue butterfly. She ran and ran until she found herself in front of a mysterious cottage she had never seen before. It looked cozy, with vines curling around its wooden walls and a little chimney puffing out sweet-smelling smoke.

Goldilocks knocked on the door. Knock, knock! No answer. The door creaked open by itself.

“Hello?” she called. No one was there.

Inside, Goldilocks saw three steaming bowls of porridge on a round wooden table. She was very hungry, so she took a spoonful from the first bowl. “Too spicy!” she coughed. The second bowl was “too sweet!” But the third bowl was “just right,” and she gobbled it up.

After eating, she noticed three chairs by the fireplace. She climbed onto the biggest one. “Too tall!” She wobbled onto the second one. “Too squishy!” Then she sat on the smallest chair. “Just right!” she said—until CRACK! It broke into pieces!

Feeling sleepy, she tiptoed upstairs and found three beds. The first was “too lumpy,” the second “too bouncy,” but the third was “just right.” She curled up and fell fast asleep.

Suddenly, thump! thump! thump! Heavy footsteps echoed through the house.

The three bears had returned!

“Someone’s been eating my porridge!” rumbled Papa Bear.

“Someone’s been sitting in my chair!” said Mama Bear.

“Someone’s broken my chair!” squeaked Baby Bear.

They climbed upstairs.

“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed,” said Papa Bear.

“And mine!” said Mama Bear.

“Someone’s still in my bed!” cried Baby Bear.

Goldilocks woke up and gasped. “Oh no!”

She jumped up, ready to run, but then she saw Baby Bear’s sad face. “I’m so sorry,” she said. “I didn’t mean to break your chair.”

Baby Bear sniffled. “It was my favorite chair…”

Goldilocks thought for a moment. “I can fix it! My father is a carpenter. I’ll bring him here, and we’ll make you a new chair—an even better one!”

The three bears looked at each other. “That would be very kind,” Mama Bear said, smiling.

Goldilocks kept her promise. The next day, she returned with her father, and together, they built a strong, beautiful chair just for Baby Bear.

From that day on, Goldilocks and the three bears became the best of friends, sharing porridge, stories, and laughter in the enchanted cottage.

The End.
